The Challenge

Ring wanted to drive sales of its Video Doorbell 3 and to foster relationships with complementary brands.

The Insight

The insight committed mobile phone customers tend to be early adopters of complementary technology.

The Approach

Activate OnDemand identified Vodafone and its VeryMe Rewards scheme as a candidate audience holder. It had a track record of matching targeted promotions to its tech-savvy customer database and the ring Video Doorbell 3 could give users the peace of mind of being able to stay connected with their homes from their mobile phones – wherever they were. The product was a great fit and with ring agreeing a market-leading exclusive offer there was a strong value-add for Vodafone.

Launched through the VeryMe app with compelling, personalised creative, the opportunity was served across VeryMe’s loyalty base. Data insights quickly built up a buying profile and additional communications were optimised by time and frequency to drive maximum return.

Driving engagement and loyalty with M&S and FitBit

The Challenge

M&S sought to increase the relevance of communications and offers from its Sparks loyalty programme and to drive added value for customers.

The Insight

Customers who tracked strongly in food and drink spend set a high premium on the quality of products and their benefits to health and wellbeing.

The Approach

Activate OnDemand brokered a partnership with Fitbit to develop a complementary offer which would help M&S customers fulfil their lifestyle goals at a market-leading price. Communications were personalised and served across eCRM, mobile app, in-store through QR codes and through ecommerce sites, specifically targeted to the top 10% spenders in groceries. Inventory and fulfilment was fully-managed to ensure next day delivery so M&S customers could take the next step on their wellness journey within 24 hours of purchase.

Providing an easy path to upgrade

The Challenge

Sky wanted to migrate established customers from their original life-expired equipment to full-featured contemporary technology.

The Insight

Overcoming a high level of customer inertia in the marketplace required a truly eye-catching offer and a step change in the service enjoyed.

The Approach

Activate OnDemand brokered a partnership with Roku specifically targeted to Sky white NOWTV box customers whose equipment was fast becoming obsolete. The bespoke promotion would offer significantly superior technology at an unbeatable price. It also provided the means to enjoy a much wider entertainment ecosystem. Communications were led by Sky in web, social media and email channels directing pre-qualified customers to a white-labelled landing page. A friction-free transaction and guaranteed 24 hour delivery made sure customers could enjoy a new world of entertainment the following day.

Adding value to followers and driving revenue

The Challenge

To build product visibility and to position Fitbit Charge 4 as a first-choice health and fitness tracker; to drive revenue.

The Insight

Working with the correct health and fitness influencers would provide a gateway to appropriately “pre-qualified” audiences, a route to tacit endorsement and can create opportunities to share and pass on communications among followers.

The Approach

Activate OnDemand identified five key influencers who had a total of more than two million followers. Making it clear that it was a paid promotion, each of the influencers recommended the Fitbit Charge 4. The Activate OnDemand platform is able simultaneously to serve tailored communications, including images, to each follower (eg showing the specific influencer wearing the device rather than a generic image) and offering an exclusive offer. On brand URLs and purchase landing meant a single click to a frictionless purchase experience. Order confirmation was immediate – with next day delivery only just behind.
